Christian McCaffrey's 2024 season did not go as planned. He only competed in four games after he missed the first eight contests while dealing with calf injury and Achilles tendonitis. Then, he was put on the injured reserve list for a second time in December due to a PCL injury.

San Francisco 49ers General Manager John Lynch provided an encouraging update on star running back Christian McCaffrey at the NFL Combine.

San Francisco general manager John Lynch would update the media about McCaffrey and say after playing just four games last season, he is “doing great.” However, there is no doubt that McCaffrey was “frustrated” with the way the year went due to such issues relating to his Achilles and then suffering from a PCL injury according to NBC Sports.

The 49ers struggled without McCaffrey spearheading their offense last season. A pair of lower body injuries for a 28-year-old running back is certainly a concern, but general manager John Lynch on Wednesday at the NFL combine had a positive update on McCaffrey.

After helping lead the 49ers to Super Bowl LVIII in 2023, running back Christian McCaffrey was able to play just four games in 2024 due to injury.
