Conor McGregor has been backed to return to the Octagon in 2025 by the man he was scheduled to face this year. The Dubliner was due to fight Michael Chandler back in June, but withdrew from the bout after suffering a broken toe in training. Chandler instead fought Charles Oliveira at Madison Square Garden last month, losing via unanimous decision.

The mixed martial artist hasn't entered the octagon since July 2021 but is being hyped up to make his comeback next year despite dealing with recent troubles outside the sport
