Emergency crews are responding to a grass fire in Fairfield. Alert California cameras in the area show a large smoke plume rising from hills on Monday afternoon. The fire was reported near Vista Grande and Capitola Parkway around 3:45 p.m. It is unknown what started the fire or how much area the fire has burned so far.

All evacuations were lifted for a grass fire that burned dozens of acres in the Vista Grande area of Fairfield late Monday afternoon.
