The Fed is maintaining its benchmark interest rate in the range of 4.25% to 4.5%, where it's been parked since December.

The Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged at between 4.25% and 4.5% following the most recent Federal Open Market Committee meeting Wednesday. The Fed’s decision could be felt by President Trump as a rebuke after Trump continuously called for the Fed and Chairman Jerome Powell to cut rates.

The Federal Reserve kept its benchmark policy rate at 4.25%-4.50%, as widely expected, on Wednesday. But at this meeting two Federal Open Market Committee members dissented -- Chris Waller and Michelle Bowman, who voted to cut by 25 basis points.
