GAINESVILLE, Fla.-- After spending nearly half a year committed to the Florida Gators, four-star tight end Tae’Shaun Gelsey of Jacksonville (Fla.) Riverside High School has switched his commitment to Florida State after signing with the Seminoles on Wednesday.

Florida State made a big splash on the recruiting trail on Wednesday evening, the first day of the Early Signing Period for the class of 2025. The Noles flipped a Florida commit in 4-star tight end Tae’shaun Gelsey. He had been committed to the Gators since June, but picked up an offer from Florida State back in October.

Florida is having one heck of an early signing day. They flipped four-star running back Ousmane Kromah from Georgia, and also did the same with four-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs as they took him from UCF.

Nebraska defensive line coach Terrance Knighton is leaving to take the same position at Florida State. This was reported by On3’s Sean Callahan. Knighton confirmed the news himself with a goodbye tweet to Huskers fans.
