As the Wuhan Open inches toward its end, WTA players have outdone themselves. Especially Coco Gauff, who just stormed into the semifinals after taking down Laura Siegemund on Friday!

Coco Gauff has booked her place in another Wuhan Open semifinal, getting past Laura Siegemund in convincing fashion. Gauff closed out the match with a dominant 6-0 second set, having already broken serve twice on her way to taking the opener 6-3.

For a place in the Wuhan final, Paolini will battle against Coco Gauff, who hasn't dropped a set so far at the tournament. Entering the 2025 season, Gauff held a 2-0 head-to-head against the Italian. But that changed this year after the 29-year-old Italian beat the American in Stuttgart, Rome, and Cincinnati.

Gauff grew up idolizing Serena Williams and Venus Williams and credited the legendary sisters for inspiring her journey after winning her first major title in 2023.
