A newly expanded Terminal 2 designed for short-haul travel is set to open at Hong Kong International Airport with next-gen smart technologies.

Hong Kong International Airport Terminal 2 will reopen on 27 May 2026 for short-haul and regional airlines with smart check-in and more.

The expanded Terminal 2 will offer seamless connectivity to the Airport Express platform and Terminal 1, alongside a new generation of smart check-in facilities.

Transport and logistics minister Mable Chan says the two terminals will complement each other and ‘greatly enhance’ the airport’s capacity.
