Iga Swiatek powered her way to the third round of the WTA’s 1,000-level Wuhan Open with a straight sets win against Marie Bouzkova.

Iga Swiatek beat Belinda Bencic 7-6 (2), 6-4 to reach the Wuhan quarterfinals, and Coco Gauff booked her spot in the final eight with a routine 6-3, 6-2 win over Zhang Shuai. The two Top 5 players could meet in the semifinals.

No. 2 seed Iga Swiatek overcame 13th-seeded Belinda Bencic in two sets 7-6 (2) 6-4 to reach the Wuhan quarterfinal, but it was all but an easy day at the office for the six-time Grand Slam champion.
