Kate Middleton showed up to an event for the official state visit of the Emir of Qatar in a golden carriage, wearing a burgundy dress by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.

According to the Daily Mail, Kate is taking part in the Horse Guards Parade (an official welcome ceremony), the carriage procession, a private lunch, and a tour of "priceless Qatari artifacts from the Royal Collection.

Kate Middleton has always been a fan of the luxe shade, and on the occasion of her return to public engagements after chemotherapy treatments that kept her out of the spotlight for the better part of the year, she decided to sport it in a head-to-toe look.
