Either Jack Draper will win his second ATP Masters 1000 title of the year or Casper Ruud will win the first of his career after both men advanced to the final of the Mutua Madrid Open with victories Friday.

Casper Ruud achieved a rare Masters 1000 feat previously claimed by Rafael Nadal as he sealed his spot in the last four of the Madrid Open. Three-time Grand Slam finalist Ruud has fallen to world No 15 in the ATP Rankings after a disappointing start to his clay season,

Coco Gauff was utterly dominant as she dispatched defending champion Iga Świątek 6-1, 6-1 in just 64 minutes to reach the Madrid Open final, handing the five-time grand slam champion one of the worst defeats of her career.

It was Świątek's worst loss on clay since 2019. She must now regroup for the Italian Open in Rome, where she is the defending champion.
