The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory at 2:55 a.m. on Saturday valid from 7 p.m. until Sunday 1 p.m. for Barnstable, Dukes and Nantucket counties.

From what the forecast is showing, this is expected to be the biggest snow storm we have seen in Western Massachusetts all winter.

The snow will arrive Saturday between 10 p.m. and midnight. Once it arrives, it will hit the ground running. The majority of the snow accumulation will occur between midnight and 7 a.m. on Sunday. There will be some light snow and flurries between 7 a.m. and noon but very little additional accumulation.
