ATLANTA — Pete Alonso knows a lot about his hometown of Tampa and a lot about playing major-league baseball. And the Mets’ All-Star first baseman has a couple ideas on where the Rays should build a new stadium in his hometown.

With another free agency period looming, Pete Alonso was asked by reporters Monday during All-Star festivities in Atlanta if he hopes to stay with the Mets long-term.

With 21 home runs so far in 2025, Pete Alonso will have the Mets franchise home run record in his sights during the second half of the season.
