At least two Minnesota university students have been detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in the last week, according to school officials.

A University of Minnesota graduate student who was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement was taken into custody because of a drunken driving infraction, not for being involved in protests, federal officials said Monday.

Students from Minnesota State University Mankato and the University of Minnesota were detained late last week.
