In her film debut, Bode is making history as the first actor who uses a wheelchair to portray Nessarose throughout the show's more than 21-year run.

For context, Nessarose uses a wheelchair in Wicked. Marissa also uses a wheelchair in real life after a traffic accident at age 11 left her paralyzed from the waist down.
