Oregon’s run in the Big Ten women’s basketball tournament came to a screeching halt in the opening game Thursday. The No. 8 seed Ducks lost 78-62 to No. 9 seed Indiana, committing 18 turnovers and missing countless opportunities at the rim.

Indiana women’s basketball coach Teri Moren had to go much deeper into her bench than normal with Yardon Garzon, Karoline Striplin and Lilly Mester all getting into foul trouble. It started when they each picked up a third foul within minutes of each other in the second quarter.
