Walmart has issued a recall for 850,000 stainless steel water bottles. The decision comes after three injury reports, including two cases of permanent vision loss. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission made the announcement on Thursday.

Walmart on Thursday recalled Ozark Trail 64 oz Stainless Steel Insulated Water Bottles. The water bottle's lid could "forcefully eject" when a person tries to open the bottle after carbonated beverages, perishable beverages or food were stored inside over time, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Walmart had received three reports of consumers injury after people were struck in the face by the lids when opening their bottles as of Thursday.
