The Ukrainian air force says Russia launched more than 100 Shahed and decoy drones at Ukraine in nighttime attacks, after the Kremlin rejected an unconditional 30-day ceasefire in the more than 3-year war.

European leaders pushed forward their demand that Russia implement a total land, air and sea ceasefire in Ukraine by midnight Monday or face crippling sanctions. The Europeans reiterated their ultimatum after Russian President Vladimir Putin rejected the ceasefire and proposed holding direct negotiations with Ukraine in Istanbul on Thursday instead.

Russia resumed mass drone attacks in Ukraine early on Sunday, after its self-declared three-day pause expired.
