South Korea remains “the enemy” of North Korea despite recent moves by Seoul to ease tensions along the 38th parallel, the powerful sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said in state media Monday.

The influential sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has rebuffed outreach by South Korea’s new liberal government, saying that North Korea has no interests in talks with South Korea for whatever proposal its rival offers.

North Korea has dismissed South Korea’s recent peace overtures as a “great miscalculation,“ with Kim Yo Jong, the influential sister of leader Kim Jong Un, stating Pyongyang has no interest in dialogue.
