Tropical Storm Dexter is forecast to strengthen in the north Atlantic Ocean, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Tropical Storm Dexter is moving further away from the East Coast, but it's still causing waves along the Delmarva coastline. Dexter is moving into the North Atlantic, away from North America. It will strengthen and become an extratropical low later today through Friday. The cyclone is forecast to weaken beginning Friday night and Saturday.

Tropical Storm Dexter is continuing to head east-northeast to the middle of the Atlantic Ocean as it strengthens Wednesday morning, however forecasters say Dexter has a day or two left as a tropical system.
