New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel has been on the job for a week and is ramping up his efforts to build out his coaching staff in Foxboro.

According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Falcons are hiring Jeff Ulbrich to be their next defensive coordinator. Ulbrich was previously the defensive coordinator for the New York Jets and took over as the interim head coach this season after Robert Saleh was fired.

Now, they're looking for their next offensive coordinator, and they completed an interview with a second candidate on Thursday, as they met with Los Angeles Chargers passing game coordinator Marcus Brady, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

In the Colts search for a defensive coordinator, time has been on their side, but the competition from other teams is going to ramp up soon.

According to OverTheCap, the Colts are projected to have around $28 million freed up in cap space for this offseason, placing them 18th in the NFL. The space doesn't quite give them enough to make a splash for one of the league's top players on the open market.

Hamilton, 50, has spent time coaching in college, the NFL and the UFL since 1997. He served as offensive coordinator with the Indianapolis Colts from 2013-15 and Houston Texans in 2022. He was also the DC Defenders head coach and general manager in 2020.

The New England Patriots have been linked to a second name in their offensive coordinator search ahead of next season. According to ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler,

The New England Patriots interviewed Chargers passing game coordinator Marcus Brady for their offensive coordinator vacancy, according to Ian Rapoport.

Marcus Brady is the second candidate to have either interviewed or be requested for an interview for the OC job. Read more on Boston.com.

According to Reiss, sources around the NFL also expect former Titans strength coach Frank Piraino to join Vrabel in New England. Pieraino was the Titans strength and conditioning coach from 2019-2022. In 2023, he became Tennesse’s director of sports performance.
