One person is dead, and another has been arrested after a crash on Interstate 10 in New Orleans on Sunday, Jan. 19.

The unidentified driver of a white Volkswagen Jetta had pulled over to the right shoulder of I-10 East near Elysian Fields with suspected car trouble when he was hit by a Ford F 250.

A crash on Interstate 10 near the Queen Creek Road exit left one person dead around 8:30 on Jan. 18 President-elect Trump landed in Virginia ahead of Inauguration Day and was welcomed by crowds waving American flags as he arrived Trump National Golf Club in Sterling on Saturday.

Jerome Lamar Gross, 45, “was arrested for driving under the influence,” the NOPD said in a statement. The identity of the male motorist who was killed has not been disclosed.

Erian Sandoval, 26, was shot at and then crashed his vehicle into the freeway median and died on the scene, police said. It's unclear if he was shot.

A man was struck and killed on I-10 Eastbound after exiting his vehicle with suspected car trouble. A DUI arrest was made, and NOPD is investigating.

A four-vehicle crash early Saturday morning, Jan. 18 closed down part of Interstate 10 for hours and injured multiple people. Police said the crash happened just before 2 a.m. along Interstate 10 West at the Downtown exit.

Interstate 10 has reopened after it was closed for several hours Saturday morning following a deadly crash south of Queen Creek Road.

Update: DOTD reported just before 9:40 p.m. that I-10 East has been reopened but advised that traffic is still backed up to Elysian Fields Avenue.

SAN ANTONIO — A man is dead after police say he jumped out of a moving vehicle on I-10 and was struck by several cars. It happened around 7:30 p.m. on Interstate 10 near the Hildebrand Avenue exit.

A stretch of westbound Interstate 10 was closed for hours in west Phoenix after a deadly shooting Wednesday morning, authorities said.

BENSON — An Arizona Department of Transportation project extending the westbound Interstate 10 climbing lane in Benson is designed to enhance safety and reduc
