Patrick Mahomes has cleared the air about his less-than-enthusiastic reaction to Netflix’s football-shaped cake during a post-game interview after leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a Christmas Day win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Netflix’s NFL Christmas Gameday set a new viewership record, drawing 65 million viewers across the United States, according to Nielsen. Chiefs-Steelers and Ravens-Texans averaged more than 24 million viewers each, making them the two most-streamed NFL games in U.S. history, Netflix said.

Thanks to NFL stars like Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson, Netflix said it enjoyed its "most-watched Christmas day ever" in the U.S.

Beyoncé provided more excitement than either game during Netflix’s NFL debut on Christmas Day. Riding into her halftime appearance on a white horse, the 32-time Grammy winner rocked her hometown Houston crowd in a nearly 13-minute performance on Wednesday.

Netflix said viewers from over 200 countries tuned into the Steelers-Chiefs game on Christmas Day. A total of 24.1 million watched the game.

The Chiefs-Steelers game ... figures include the audience on Netflix, mobile viewership on NFL+ and those who tuned in on CBS stations in Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Baltimore and Houston.
