Former New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh landed his first NFL head coaching interview since being fired by NYJ.

The Jaguars have requested an interview with Saleh for their head coach vacancy, the team announced Tuesday. Saleh is one of eight candidates on the team’s initial list, which includes hot names in Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and Detroit defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn.

Townsend is a former longtime Steelers cornerback who has managed secondaries across the NFL over the last decade. The last two stops have included duties as the defensive passing game coordinator.
