Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has said he has told Marcus Rashford he needs to leave the Premier League club, describing his situation as "embarrassing."

Wayne Rooney has revealed that he has told Marcus Rashford to leave Manchester United and says he was ’embarrassed’ to see the England forward training on his own at Carrington last weekend. Rashford has already made it clear that he wants to leave United after he said in December that he is looking to find a ‘new challenge’ away from Old Trafford.

Former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney was relieved of his duties at Plymouth in December, but he has not been deterred in his dream to become a top coach
