Nottingham Forest extended their unbeaten run by beating Southampton in key Premier League clash at the City Ground

Nottingham Forest ’s extraordinary form continued as they beat the Premier League ’s basement dwellers Southampton. Despite victory, Nuno Espírito Santo ’s side did not have everything their own way as they survived a late comeback attempt from the Saints to ensure they won the game 3-2.

Goals inside the opening 41 minutes from Anderson, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Chris Wood seamed to have put the game beyond the Saints but they hit back in the second half through Jan Bednarek and Paul Onuachu. The visitors then almost snatched an unlikely equaliser with Ola Aina having to clear off the line to deny Bednarek his second.
