Motown great Smokey Robinson is under criminal investigation after recent allegations of rape and other abuse made in a $50 million lawsuit earlier this month. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department confirmed the news to multiple media outlets.

Smokey Robinson's attorney responded to allegations that the the singer sexually harassed and raped four housekeepers, calling them "vile."

The famed Motown singer was sued last week by four women who worked for him as housekeepers for sexual assault and rape.
