EL PASO, Texas (AP) Tyrone Marshall's 16 points helped Western Kentucky defeat UTEP 80-73 on Thursday night. Marshall added nine rebounds for the Hilltoppers (16-12, 7-8 Conference USA).

Tyrone Marshall led the way for the Hilltoppers (16-13, 7-9) with 16 points and two blocks. Don McHenry added 10 points and two steals for Western Kentucky. Jalen Jackson finished with eight points.

Tyrone Marshall went 4 of 12 from the field (2 for 9 from 3-point range) to finish with 11 points. The Panthers (9-21, 3-14) were led by Vianney Salatchoum, who posted 21 points and six rebounds.
