The Tennessee State Police released this bodycam video showing the moment Kilmar Abrego Garcia — the suspected MS-13 member deported to El Salvador — was accused of human trafficking during a 2022 traffic stop.

Tennessee state law enforcement on Thursday released a video showing a 2022 traffic stop involving Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an incident Trump administration officials have used to justify the removal of the Maryland man who the government has admitted was wrongly deported to El Salvador in March.

The Trump administration this week continued digging in on its claim that symbols tattooed on the fingers of Kilmar Abrego Garcia – a cross, a skull, a smiley face and a marijuana leaf – are proof that the man they wrongly deported to El Salvador is a member of MS-13.

The figures M, S, 1 and 3 don’t appear in other photographs of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia’s hand, including one shared by the Salvadoran government.

Experts are divided over whether knuckle tattoos highlighted by President Trump suggest the wrongly deported man may be associated with MS-13.
