A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for portions of northeastern Colorado until 9 p.m. for the possibility of hail — up to apple-sized — and wind gusts up to 70 mph.
A new tornado watch has been issued for southwestern Kansas and western Oklahoma until 10 p.m. CDT. According to the Storm Prediction Center, a few tornadoes are possible and a couple could be intense (EF3 or stronger). Widespread large hail (up to 3 inches in diameter) and damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph are all possible.

A feathered family was reunited Thursday thanks to a special rescue by the Colorado Springs Fire Department. The department said three ducklings were discovered in a storm drain this morning. The crew of Engine 7 rescued the babies with the help of Colorado Springs Public Works and Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
