As Annie Hall, Keaton was quirky. She adopted a masculine style of dress, and went against Hollywood’s prototype, in that, while her character was part of a love story opposite the film’s co-writer, director and star, Woody Allen, she was far from just a love interest.
Diane Keaton, who remained one of Hollywood's quirkiest and most beloved actors decades after her Academy Award-winning performance in the movie Annie Hall, has died aged 79.
Diane Keaton was a proud mom of two. The Annie Hall star, whose death was announced on Oct. 11, welcomed her two children, daughter Dexter, 29, and son Duke, 25, through adoption when she was in her 50s and raised them on her own.
