Leon County is suggesting this route to avoid traffic congestion due to road work on Centerville Road. Amid frustrated residents and ongoing construction, Leon County has answered the call and found alternate routes for drivers during the Centerville Road construction which will last until May.

County Commissioner Brian Welch said the project manager would "pursue all available options for improving the situation."

Leon County is set to improve safety at the intersection of Centerville Road and Harpers Ferry Drive by adding a new turning lane. Lane closures take effect Monday as the project gets underway.
