Trump Attorney Makes Embarrassing Typo in Letitia James Indictment
MAGA prosecutor Lindsey Halligan is already making basic errors in her indictment of New York Attorney General (and Trump) target Letitia James. In an official court filing Thursday, Halligan listed James’s address as “Brooklyn, New Jersey” instead of New York, where Brooklyn is.
New York Attorney General Letitia James has been indicted on bank fraud charges after President Trump pressured the DOJ to investigate her. Lindsey Halligan, a former insurance lawyer, was recently assigned to the case.
A direct challenge of the legitimacy of the lone prosecutor to sign James Comey indictment could derail the case all on its own.
O’Donnell tied Halligan’s struggles to a string of failed Trump-era appointments, including Alina Habba and Sigal Chattah, both ruled unlawfully serving as U.S. attorneys. “Trump,” he said, “is appointing loyalists, not lawyers.”
The Attorney General was not informed ahead of Lindsey Halligan presenting to a grand jury in the Letitia James indictment.
