Mikel Arteta has said Arsenal need to be ready to give their life to reach the Champions League final. Arsenal face Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of their semifinal on Wednesday where they will look to overturn a 1-0 deficit and reach only the second Champions League final in their history.

"We should have killed the game and we didn't. On top of that if you defend your box in two set-pieces in the way we have done you're in big, big, trouble. "We should have put the game to bed. We defended really poorly, nowhere near the standards that we are used to.

Arteta made only two changes from the midweek defeat – PSG boss Luis Enrique switched every outfield player for his side’s game at Strasbourg with the Ligue 1 title already wrapped up – but backed his team to be “fully recovered” for the showdown at the Parc des Princes.
