The Gophers football program picked up its second transfer commitment on Thursday with Purdue tight end Drew Biber. The 6-foot-5, 245-pound Cedarburg, Wis., native played parts of four seasons for the Boilermakers and the graduate transfer has one season of eligibility remaining.

Former Purdue tight end Drew Biber has announced that he will transfer to Minnesota. He played in 37 career games with the Boilermakers.

The Gophers on Thursday added a tight end from the transfer portal when former Purdue player Drew Biber announced he’s joining Minnesota’s program. Biber, 6-5 and 245 pounds, had 13 receptions for 113 yards as a junior this season.

They’ve found their man in the form of Purdue transfer Drew Biber, who committed to the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Thursday. He has one year of eligibility remaining. Biber saw action in all 12 games this season with the Boilermakers and recorded 13 receptions for 113 receiving yards.
