Governor Jim Pillen announced the retirement of Colonel John Bolduc, superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP). Col. Bolduc had a 38-year career in law enforcement and his retirement is effective May 4.

"It has been my great honor to serve the people of Nebraska, alongside the dedicated men and women of the Nebraska State Patrol," Col. John Bolduc said in a statement. "I am proud of our shared mission and confident that this team will continue its exemplary work to keep Nebraska safe.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Col. John Bolduc, the superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol, is retiring later this year. In a press release Tuesday, Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen announced Bolduc’s retirement is set for May 4, when he reaches the agency’s mandatory retirement age of 60.

Col. John Bolduc will retire on his 60th birthday — the State Patrol’s mandatory age for retirement. Bolduc has been the State Patrol’s superintendent since 2017.
