Court documents in Franklin County reveal that three companies have sued Gov. Mike DeWine just days after he signed an executive order to remove intoxicating hemp products from stores. Fumee Smoke and Vape,
DeWine's announcement wasn't the death blow Castore and others feared, though. The governor imposed a 90-day ban on intoxicating hemp products — drinks and gummies are among the most common — that won't start until Oct. 14. Since January 2024, DeWine has pressed Ohio lawmakers to enact THC limits and other regulations on the sale of THC products.
