Sudan’s army said its opponents used drones to strike a military airbase and other locations in Port Sudan, the first apparent attacks of that kind on the Red Sea city in the two-year civil war.

Sudan’s army says the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have carried out a drone attack on a military airbase and other facilities in the vicinity of Port Sudan Airport. The army says an airbase, cargo warehouse and some civilian facilities were targeted in Port Sudan in the first attack in the eastern city by the RSF.
