University of Michigan basketball recruit Marcus Moller has been diagnosed with cancer and is pausing his playing career.

The University of Michigan Board of Regents has chosen Kent Syverud, a U-M alum and currently the chancellor of Syracuse University, to be its 16th president.

If approved, Kent Syverud will be the fifth person to lead the University of Michigan in the past four years.
