Led by Max Shulga's 22 points, the VCU Rams defeated the Duquesne Dukes 71-62 on Tuesday. The Rams moved to 25-5 with the victory and the Dukes dropped to 13-17.
VCU (25-5, 15-2 A-10, NET: 29) will be the #1 seed in next week’s A-10 Tournament. The W is also helpful for the Rams’ NCAA Tournament at-large hopes. For what it’s worth, Joe Lunardi has VCU in the tournament field as a 10-seed as the A-10’s automatic qualifier.
