For the first time since its founding in 1995, Angie’s List is getting a new name. But the reference to co-founder Angie Hicks isn’t going away.

In an ever-so-slight name change, Angie's List will rebrand as Angi starting Wednesday. The company's owner will change its name from ANGI Homeservices to simply Angi Inc.

Angie's List was named after Angie Hicks, who co-founded the site more than 25-years ago. Hicks, who is still a board member, said in a prepared statement that it was time for a change.
