The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation formally adopted early Saturday an Arab League counter-proposal to US President Donald Trump's plan to take over Gaza and displace its residents, calling on the international community to support the regional initiative.

France, Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom have announced support for the Arab-backed plan on Gaza, an opposition to President Donald Trump’s proposal. Europe’s powerhouses at the weekend described the proposition formulated by Egypt as a “realistic” post-war reconstruction method of action.
