Egypt launches behind-the-scenes diplomatic effort against Trump’s Gaza relocation proposal, warns it could jeopardize its peace treaty with Israel.

The president refused to back down from his proposal for the U.S. to oversee the war-ravaged coastal enclave — and send the Palestinians who live there somewhere else.

Officials say message has been passed to State Department and members of Congress and also conveyed to Israel and its Western European allies, including Britain, France and Germany
