It's been more than two years since Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving last played a game together as teammates, on Jan. 28, 2023, but Irving's latest assist to Durant came Monday. Not that it's the kind of assist Durant or anyone wanted to see.

The news of Kyrie Irving's torn ACL has reverberated around the NBA and the general response from fellow players indicates how well-liked Irving is around the league. This includes Kevin Durant's comments on the matter;

Durant and Irving were teammates on the Brooklyn Nets together before they both landed with their current teams. The two-time Finals MVP clearly still had a lot of love left for his old co-star, because when asked about the injury, Durant had a visibly difficult time responding.
