The BBC has announced it’s agreed an exclusive deal to broadcast Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland men’s international football matches in the run-up to the FIFA Men’s World Cup 2026. Rhodri Talfan Davies, Director of BBC Nations, says:

Scotland and Wales face off this evening in an intriguing Six Nations clash. A change of head coach did not produce a chance of fortunes for Wales, as interim boss Matt Sherratt was unable to mastermind a win over defending champions Ireland but did see a much-improved performance from the beleaguered Welsh side.

The BBC will show all World Cup qualifiers for the men's teams of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland live. A new deal signed with Uefa means that 41 live matches will be shown. The deal also includes friendlies and Scotland's Nations League play-off with Greece later this month.

Scotland welcome Wales to Murrayfield in the fourth round of the 2025 Six Nations Championship. Wales are the whipping boys of this edition of the competition, having played three, lost three, although they were much improved against Ireland in round three.
