The Supreme Court allowed the Trump administration to remove Temporary Protected Status for approximately 350,000 Venezuelans who were protected from deportation and allowed to work in the U.S. If ever there was a case for nationwide injunctions, this is it. Trump’s executive order is unconstitutional on its face.

The Supreme Court on Friday blocked the Trump Administration from using a wartime law to deport alleged Venezuelan gang members to a notorious prison in El Salvador, delivering yet another legal setback to President Donald Trump’s controversial deportation plans.

With deportation protections lifted before lower courts hear arguments and final decisions, Venezuelans could be at risk for detention.
