Alaska Airlines is canceling more than a dozen flights a day as tariffs hinder its ability to accept delivery of new aircraft, according to the carrier.The Seattle, Washington-based airline said it wouldn't immediately accept delivery of two Embraer 175 regional jets in order to avoid incurring the extra tariff-related costs.

SEATTLE — Alaska Air delayed the delivery of two planes from Brazilian manufacturer Embraer last month and trimmed its summer schedule, citing the “uncertain economic environment” and the financial impact of tariffs on its supply chain.

Alaska Airlines is canceling 14 flights daily until the end of July due to delayed aircraft deliveries resulting from tariffs.
