Four people are dead after a shooter opened fire at Anaconda’s Owl Bar at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 1, 2025, according to a press release from the Montana Department of Justice.

A former U.S. soldier suspected of killing four people at a Montana bar was still at large Sunday and may be armed after escaping in a stolen vehicle containing clothes and camping gear, officials said.
