Former North Dakota State standout basketball player Grant Nelson will not be re-signed by the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, according to sources. Nelson signed a 10-day contract with the Nets on Feb. 27 after being called up from the G-League’s Long Island Nets.

Day'Ron Sharpe tied a season high by scoring 19 points and the Brooklyn Nets pulled away for a 126-115 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on ​Monday in New York.

Ziaire Williams made two 3-pointers in the final three minutes and the Brooklyn Nets ended a 10-game losing streak by rallying to beat the Detroit Pistons 107-105.

The Brooklyn Nets will face off against the Miami Heat for the third time this season.
