The Indiana Fever suffered their second straight loss on Friday as they fell to the Washington Mystics in a tight one, 88-84. This defeat follows Tuesday’s 81-80 loss against the Dallas Wings, as Indiana has now lost two in a row at home in the span of four days.

Aliyah Boston and the Indiana Fever fell 88-84 to the Washington Mystics on Friday night at home, playing once again without former No. 1 overall pick Caitlin Clark, who remains out with a right groin injury.

After a five-game win streak, the Fever have now lost four of five, including back-to-back home games against teams outside the playoff positions.

While the Washington Mystics look to build off their most recent victory over the Indiana Fever, all eyes are on Fever coach Stephanie White to help Indiana get back in the win column. She’s missed Clark, who’s averaging 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game this season.

Clark, who was injured late in the Fever's win over the Connecticut Sun on July 15, does not have an official return timeline. As of Monday, Clark had still not returned to practice.
