It's relatively easy to stop Google's Gemini AI from training on your personal chats on the web or your phone, as long as you know which settings to deactivate.

Gemini is also getting a ChatGPT-style Temporary Chat window. Conversations made here won't influence future chats or show up in recent history.

Google is rolling out an update for Gemini that will allow the AI chatbot to “remember” your past conversations without prompting. With the setting turned on, Gemini will automatically recall your “key details and preferences” and use them to personalize its output.
